Next bit of News: Other SDA members also have their work in the State of Craft! This piece to the left here is a quilt by Judy B. Dales.
Entitled "Spirit Flight", this piece is included in the show and is on loan from The White House Permanent Craft Collection.
This is our chance to enjoy the piece created here in Vermont before it goes back to live in Washington this fall!
Michèle Ratté of Saxtons River, VT also has a piece in the State of Craft Exhibit!
"Animation 5", a large-scale textile monoprint made in collaboration with Master Dyer Joan Morris, of Hartford, VT is included in this show that took three years to plan.
Hopefully as a group or individually we can all make it down there to see these pieces in person!
Special Exhibit in Greensboro! The Kingdom Craft Alliance is multi-media group; and their upcoming exhibit in July will feature two pieces from each artist.
Member Judy B. Dales serves as the President of this newly formed group. Kudos for this huge accomplishment in such a short amount of time! (The Kingdom Craft Alliance did not even exist until February, so that's a lot of organizing!!)
This show is part of the statewide State of Craft Special Events that are scheduled throughout the State, and not one to miss in the Greensboro area!
In case the image here is blown up too much to read right, here is the info:
The Exhibit is at The Miller's Thumb in Greensboro, with an Opening Reception on July 2, 2010 from 5pm to 8pm
The show will run July 3 through the 11th and can be viewed daily from 10 am to 5 pm.
