February Open Studio!

The first studio tour was delightful. Six people gathered the studio of Dianne Shullenberger in Jericho. There was an explanation about the work on display in the gallery. The mediums were fabric collage, colored pencil, and 3 dimensional mixed media vessels.

A tour of the upstairs studio followed with a detailed explanation of the layered fabric collage process, discussion about the layout of the studio to accommodate the various mediums.

The final discussion was back in the gallery where some participants brought samples of their work. These fiber artists were very enthusiastic and comfortable sharing information about their techniques and their sources for materials. It was nice to welcome two new women just beginning their entry into the fiber world.
