Finding a Common Thread: A Contemporary Fiber Art Show



Chandler Center for the Arts presents ‘Finding a Common Thread’ a contemporary fiber arts exhibit. 
Join us for a free opening night reception on Sept 21 from 4-6pm, with a cash bar, to meet many of the artists and purchase your favorite piece.

Workshop Info: 
Felting Workshop ‘Lava Neckpiece,’
with Nancy Evan 
Sunday October 19, 10am-3pm
Upper Gallery
Participants will learn nuno felting and shaping techniques, resulting in a completed piece of wearable art. The cost is $115 per person, which includes all of the needed materials and tools.

Crochet Workshop 'Recycled Bag'
with Mary Lou Maeder 
Wednesday October 29, 6:30-8:30pm
Upper Gallery
Participants will learn to crochet a bag from re-cycled plastic grocery bags. Students are asked to provide their own materials and tools. Participants will need 1) grocery bags with a variety of interesting colors 2) a pair of scissors and  3) a crochet hook, size I (9) or larger. The cost is $15. per person.
