Call for Entries:

Visionary Conspiracy
at Studio Place Arts, Barre VT
Members of the Surface Design Association Vermont chapter are invited to apply for inclusion in Studio Place Arts' July/August exhibition, which intends to incite compassion and beauty through deploying fiber artists to craft "extreme examples of exquisiteness" with threads, textiles, wool, needles and looms. 
Interested artists should submit proposals to Eve Jacobs-Carnahan at by May 1, 2016.

Baskets for a Cause
Jackie Abrams will be teaching a class on crocheting with plastic bags on February 10th and 24th, with proceeds going to Groundworks Food Shelf.  See more

Karen Henderson has been awarded a partial Merit Scholarship to attend an Artist Residency this winter at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, VT.

The Vermont Studio Center is the largest international residency program in the US, hosting more than 50 visual artists and writers each month from across the country and around the world.


As part of the Marble House Residency she attended last fall, Karen was among several artist residents interviewed by WBTN radio host Thomas Lawrence Toscano of The Listening Shires program on radio station 1370AM out of Bennington, VT. Karen writes, "It was an honor to be a guest on the program with artist Jeanette Ehlers. The host, Thomas, is a natural and engaging conversationalist."
