"Material Matters" Artists Selected

Eve Jacobs-Carnahan     "Shorebird Peril"

The following SDA Vermont member artists will be exhibiting at Frog Hollow State Craft Center during the month of June in the SDA Vermont group exhibition "Material Matters".

Judy Dales of the Exhibition Committee offered the following comment:
"This exhibit presents an exciting sampler of the work being done by fiber artists today: baskets with unusual surface treatments; knitted sculpture, both thought provoking and whimsical; quilted works ranging from complex subtle designs to bold, graphic work; woven wearables to wall weavings; hand painged and dyed fiber pieces; and imaginative assemblages made from both fiber and natural objects. The items in this exhibit cross boundaries, sometimes obviously fiber work, other times mixed media, thus truly representing the broad range of surface design today."

Exhibit dates will be June 1 - 28, 2016
