Linda Finkelstein will be exhibiting her work in Barre beginning this month. Linda has explored working with "eco mediums" using eucalyptus, indigo, and rust since moving to Vermont three and a half years ago. The processes of rusting and dyeing with eucalyptus have been timely, providing a sense of grounding and a palette of calm that have been very helpful in Linda's transition to a new state.

Surface Expressions Exhibit Highlighted on SDA Blog!

I don't usually post here other than the first of the month, but I think this news is worth sharing right away.

Installation shot of the Chaffee Art Center with Surface Expressions on display

Eve Jacobs-Carnahan recently submitted an an abridged version of her talk about the pieces in the 2016 Surface Expressions exhibit at the Chaffee Art Center to the SDA website. In highlighting the fact that our Vermont SDA Chapter had 3 exhibits last year, accomplished in part with support from an SDA Small Event Grant, the SDA blog featured her article and images from our exhibit in today's post as a means of bringing awareness to SDA's grant program. Thank you to Eve for bringing such wide exposure to our exhibit and exhibitors!
